Finally found something that actually explains my body (long post, but worth it)
#1
So I've posted here before about random health stuff, gut issues, weird energy crashes, skin that flares up for no reason. A few of you gave me suggestions, and I appreciate it, but I wanted to update because I think I finally found something that actually worked, and I figured I'd share in case anyone else is stuck in the same loop I was.
Quick background: for years, nothing about my body made sense. Some weeks I'd eat clean and still feel bloated. Other weeks I'd eat like garbage and feel completely fine. Energy crashes with zero warning. Skin flare-ups I could never trace back to anything specific. I did the whole checklist everyone recommends here too: less sugar, more water, "just sleep better bro," regular workouts. Helped a bit, but never consistently. Classic.

Got a full checkup at one point thinking something was actually wrong. Bloodwork, vitals, all normal. Doctor basically shrugged and said I was fine. Cool, except I didn't feel fine, and there's only so many times you can hear "everything looks normal" while still feeling like garbage before you start looking elsewhere.

A relative mentioned Ayurveda almost in passing. Ngl, my first thought was "isn't that just turmeric milk and old wives' tales," lol. Had no idea it was actually a whole structured system for looking at digestion, energy, sleep, and temperament together instead of treating everything as separate random symptoms.

Went for a consultation with ICBR Wellness, not expecting much. First session was basically just a long conversation: digestion patterns, how I handle different seasons, sleep quality, even stuff like how I react emotionally under stress. Nobody had ever connected all this before; honestly, it felt like the first time someone actually looked at the whole picture instead of just whatever symptom I complained about that day.

The ICBR practitioner explained my "dosha" (basically your body's specific constitution/type), and ngl, it explained a lot retroactively. Why some "healthy" foods left me sluggish. Why my energy tanked hard at specific times of day. Why stress went straight to my gut instead of messing with my sleep as it does for other people. Wasn't woo woo, just made actual sense once explained properly.
