I have several Outlook PST files that contain years of email communication, attachments, contacts, calendars, and other mailbox items. I need to move some of this data into different formats for backup and archival purposes, but I am concerned about losing important information during the conversion.
For example, some of my emails need to remain accessible through another email client, while other mailbox data may need to be saved in formats such as EML, MBOX, MSG, PDF, or CSV. Managing each email individually is obviously not practical, especially when the PST files contain thousands of messages.
One thing I want to avoid is ending up with converted files where the original folders and subfolders are no longer organized properly. The PST files have a specific structure with Inbox, Sent Items, custom folders, and nested folders, so maintaining that hierarchy would make the converted data much easier to manage.
