Silksong: How Hornet Finds Pill in My Missing Brother
#1
In 2026, Hornet's errands in Bellhart still carry the weight of small lives tangled together. The My Missing Brother quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of those quiet stories that begins with a favor and ends with a rescue. Hornet does not simply stumble into it. She must first earn the trust of a courier family, then follow a trail that tests her memory of Greymoor's vertical spaces and Sinner's Road's grim cages. The reward is not a grand trophy, but a brother brought home and a wish crossed off the Bellhart Wishwall.

The Wish That Starts It All

The path to My Missing Brother begins with My Missing Courier. Hornet must save Tipp during that earlier quest. Only after Tipp is safe does the Wishwall offer the next chapter. She returns to Bellhart Wishwall, accepts My Missing Brother, and then speaks to Tipp above the billboard. That conversation is the true starting bell. Without it, the quest may sit on the board, but the mission will not properly begin.

Tracking Is the Thread

Tracking objects is one of Hornet's chores in Silksong, and it works best when she slows down. She finds an item on the ground, presses Track, and traces appear in the air. The mechanic was first introduced during the Volatile Flintbeetles quest, and it returns in other wishes, including My Missing Brother. Here, the trail is not a straight road. It is a suggestion, a shimmer in the air that asks Hornet to trust the environment more than her map.

The first traces begin in Greymoor, which is exactly the kind of misdirection that makes the quest memorable. Pill's track starts there, but Pill's location is actually at Sinner's Road. Hornet has to read the trail as a route, not a destination. If she treats Greymoor as the final answer, she will circle the same platforms while the courier waits somewhere far less welcoming.

The Road to Sinner's Road

If Hornet has not yet visited Sinner's Road, the journey starts at the Halfway Home inn at Greymoor. She heads up using the elevator, then moves to the right side. From there, she climbs the wall to find a passage on the right. That passage soon delivers her to Sinner's Road. The route is vertical and easy to misread, so patience matters more than speed.

Once inside Sinner's Road, Hornet keeps walking right until she reaches a tall vertical room. She climbs upward and finds another passage on the right side. This is where the atmosphere changes. The next room is full of cages, and the air feels less like a road and more like a trap. Hornet works her way up, and there, on the left side of the room, she sees Pill being attacked by enemies.

This is the moment the quest stops being a trail and becomes a rescue. Hornet beats the enemies, then talks to the courier. The conversation completes My Missing Brother in Silksong. There is no elaborate ceremony. The story closes the way it opened: with a small act of care in a world that rarely offers one.

If the Elevator Is Still Locked

Some players reach this point before the Halfway Home elevator is available. In that case, Hornet can unlock it with a short detour. From the Greymoor Bellway, she goes left until she arrives at the vertical tower. She climbs to the top, enters the passage on the right, and keeps running right until she finds an elevator. Riding it down to Halfway Home unlocks the route, and from then on the elevator can be used to go up and down freely.

A Small Quest With a Sharp Turn

My Missing Brother is easy to underestimate. It looks like a simple tracking task, but it asks Hornet to remember that a trail can begin in one region and end in another. The Wishwall sends her to Greymoor, the traces whisper along the platforms, and the real answer waits in Sinner's Road among cages and enemies. By the time Hornet returns to Bellhart, the board has one fewer worry, and Tipp has a brother back. That is the quiet rhythm of Silksong's side stories: a favor, a trace, a rescue, and a small life made whole again. ?️

Stories like this are often what keep players moving through Silksong long after the main path is done—small detours, unexpected rescues, and the sense that every corner of the map might hide another thread worth pulling. When one quest closes and the map still feels full of possibilities, it’s natural to start thinking about what to play next and how to get the most out of each purchase.

That’s where a resource like DealNest can help. Instead of bouncing between storefronts to compare offers, you can browse game deals in one place and check game prices before committing to your next adventure. It keeps the focus on finding something worth exploring rather than chasing scattered listings.
