I'm just trying to get a realistic picture here because I feel like I've been stuck in limbo forever. Hurt my lower back last January doing something pretty routine at work, thought it would be a quick thing, but here we are almost fifteen months later and I'm still going to physical therapy, still seeing the specialist, and still getting these random letters from the insurance company asking for more information about some old doctor visit from three years ago. I haven't even gotten to the point where we're talking about settlement yet and honestly I'm starting to wonder if this is normal or if my case is just moving at a snail's pace. I've been doing some research on workers compensation claims New Paltz area specifically because I know every state is different, and I keep seeing people mention timelines that are all over the place. Some folks say six months, others say two or three years. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if this dragging on is a sign that I should be pushing harder or if this is just how it goes when the insurance company decides to be difficult about things. Anyone else been through a longer case and have any insight?
