How Can I Open a PST File on Mac Without Installing Microsoft Outlook?
#1
PST files are Outlook data files that store emails and other mailbox information. However, macOS does not provide a built-in application for opening PST archives directly.
Installing Outlook is one possible approach, but it may not be convenient if you only need to read archived emails or inspect an old mailbox.
A standalone viewer is another option. MacSonik PST Viewer allows users to open PST files without depending on Microsoft Outlook. It supports the preview of emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, notes, and other available mailbox components.
To begin, install the viewer and add your PST file. Once the scanning process finishes, expand the folder hierarchy and select the mailbox folder you want to inspect.
You can then preview individual messages and examine their sender details, subject lines, timestamps, and attachments.
Before using any viewer for important business archives, test it with a copy of your PST file. Check whether the required folders and messages are accessible.
